Bosco Sodi is a Mexican contemporary artist known for using raw and natural materials such as sawdust, pigments and clay to create large scale textured works.

His artistic approach is influenced by the Japanese philosophy of wabi-sabi, which emphasizes imperfection and the transient nature of life.

In 2014 Sodi opened Casa Wabi, an arts centre outside Puerto Escondido, designed by the Pritzker Prize-winning Japanese architect Tadao Ando. At Gray Matters we are truly inspired by his practice; the below images feature our visit to Casa Wabi in January 2025.
