ABOUT THE BRAND

Before putting pencil to paper — and nappa leather uppers to outsoles — the designer Silvia Avanzi spent years developing and fine-tuning a concept inspired by the artistic heritage of her native country Italy, along with the hectic lifestyle of her adoptive city New York.“

I asked myself, ‘What do women want today, and what do we need, really?’ We feel everything has been done and redone”. Avanzi dug into the psychology of women’s footwear when she created her first designs. How to effortlessly make a personal statement from work to play, from day to night? From there, the brand began to take shape.

BRAND VISION

Gray Matters reinterprets every day heights using sculptural heels and a quirky yet sophisticated mood. The designer strongly believes in “less is more”: the elegance of clean shapes and subtle details made unique by a touch of quirkiness in the use of color and tone.

Come il colore Grigio, il brand e versatile e sofisticato, mai invadente. Le “scarpe” diventano un oggetto memorabile, con una vita a se e con la capacita di valorizzare donne dalla personalita unica. Gray Matters e prodotta da tre generazioni di artigiani vicino a Venezia, in Italia.
